Before we meet
A consultation usually takes about 30 minutes and is completely free. To make the most of that time, it helps to have a few things on hand. The more of the list below you prepare ahead, the more concrete the conversation, and the faster we can check which plans actually fit the situation.
What to have ready
- Medicare card. The red-white-and-blue card with the 11-character ID, plus the Part A and B start dates. Don't have it handy yet? Not a problem, we'll help confirm that status.
- List of doctors. The primary-care doctor and any specialists. Name and city is enough. We'll check whether they're in the network of the plans under consideration.
- List of prescriptions. Drug name, dose, and how often it's taken. Include seasonal and "as-needed" drugs too. This is often the biggest difference in annual cost between plans.
- Pharmacy. Which pharmacy is usually used. The same drug can be priced differently depending on pharmacy and plan.
- Where they live most of the year. Splitting the year between two states (for example Illinois and Florida) meaningfully affects the choice of plan.
- Budget and priorities. Whether a low monthly premium matters more, or predictable costs and freedom to choose doctors. There's no wrong answer; it helps us set direction.
- Current plan, if switching. The current plan name or the latest letter from the insurer. It helps compare what's gained or lost in a switch.
Helping a parent?
Very often the first person to call us is the beneficiary's adult child. That's natural. If you're helping a parent, it helps to gather the information above together and decide whether the parent wants to be on the call. We can speak Polish directly with the parent and explain everything to you in English, so you can help with the decision calmly.
What the conversation looks like
No pressure and no sales script. First we listen and learn the situation, then we check available options, doctors, and drugs together. Nothing gets signed in a rush or sight unseen. The consultation can be at our Chicago office, by phone, or over Zoom, always with Polish available.
Let's book a free consultation in Polish.
You don't need everything on the list to book. Just call or fill out the form, and we'll prepare the rest together.
