Prescription discount card
A prescription discount card is a savings program from a third party. You show it at the pharmacy, and the pharmacy gives you the drug price under that program. Prices depend on the drug, the dose, the quantity and the pharmacy.
The card cannot be combined with Medicare Part D or other insurance on the same purchase. The pharmacy processes a purchase either through insurance or through the card. People with Part D should compare both prices before buying.
The button opens, in a new tab, the site of a program run by a third party. That company provides the terms, prices and content on that site.
What it is
This is a private prescription discount card. It is not health insurance and it is not a Medicare plan. It does not pay for care. It lets you look up a drug price in a savings program.
A third party runs the program. Medicare po Polsku provides the link to the card, but does not run the program, set prices or process purchases at the pharmacy.
How to use the card at the pharmacy
- Search the drug
On the program’s site, enter the drug name, the dose and the quantity.
- Choose a price
The site shows prices at pharmacies. You choose a pharmacy and a price, and get the card.
- Show the card
At the pharmacy counter, show the card or give the numbers on it: ID, Group, BIN and PCN.
Who it is for
You and your family members can use the card. It does not depend on whether you have Medicare or other insurance.
For a single purchase, though, one form of payment applies: the card or insurance. People with Part D, or with a Medicare Advantage plan that covers drugs, should compare the card price with the insurance price. We help with that in a consultation, with no obligation.
A purchase with the card is made outside your insurance. Please ask your Part D plan whether and how such a purchase counts toward your costs.

Can I use the card with Part D?
