Calls and text messages
When you provide your telephone number and give the applicable consent, Medicare po Polsku may contact you by telephone or text message about your inquiry, consultation, insurance options, application, enrollment, policy servicing, appointment reminders, or other matters you authorized.
Depending on the consent presented when your information is collected, communications may be made using automated technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice.
Consent to receive marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing insurance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. You may also withdraw consent to other marketing communications by telling a representative you do not wish to receive marketing calls, asking to be placed on our internal Do-Not-Call list, or contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.
After you opt out of marketing, we may continue to contact you when reasonably necessary to respond to your request, administer an application or policy, provide requested customer service, or send legally required communications.
Mobile opt-in information and consent to receive text messages will not be sold or shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Our text-messaging program operates under the carrier-required A2P 10DLC framework registered through The Campaign Registry, and messages are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting us. Even after unsubscribing from promotional email, you may continue to receive non-promotional messages concerning an appointment, application, insurance policy, customer-service request, legal notice, or other ongoing business relationship.
4. Call Recording
Telephone calls may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
When applicable, we provide notice that a call is being recorded. Certain Medicare-related calls and records may be recorded and retained for the period required by CMS, insurance carriers, or applicable law.
By continuing a call after receiving a recording notice, you consent to the recording to the extent permitted by law. When legally required, we will obtain additional consent.
5. How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other insurance agencies, field marketing organizations, or lead buyers for their own use or marketing. We disclose personal information only in the circumstances described below.

- Data storage and backup;
- Analytics and website-performance measurement;
- Advertising measurement;

These service providers may receive personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us and are required to protect it and use it only for those services. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
Advertising and analytics companies
We may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand website traffic, improve our content, measure advertising results, and reach audiences who may be interested in our services. These technologies may collect device, browser, cookie, and website-interaction information. Depending on applicable state law, some advertising-related disclosures may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged.
We do not knowingly provide information about your medications, healthcare providers, medical conditions, Medicare identifier, or insurance application to advertising platforms for targeted advertising.
CMS Medicare protection
Personal beneficiary information collected for Medicare marketing or enrollment will not be provided to a separate Third-Party Marketing Organization for that organization’s own marketing or enrollment activities unless you have provided any consent required by CMS and applicable law.

Business transactions
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
With your direction or consent
We may disclose information to another person or organization when you direct us to do so, request the disclosure, or provide consent.
6. Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money.
Some state privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly and may apply those terms to certain advertising or analytics technologies. Where required, you may request to opt out as described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section.
7. Cookies and Tracking Choices
Most browsers allow you to block, limit, or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect certain website features.
Where available, our website may also provide a cookie or privacy-preferences control that allows you to manage nonessential technologies.
We will process legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, when required by applicable law and when our systems can reasonably associate the signal with your browser or device.
At this time, there is no universally accepted standard requiring websites to respond to ordinary “Do Not Track” browser settings. We therefore do not represent that the Site responds to every Do Not Track signal.
Opting out on one browser or device may not automatically apply to another browser or device.
8. Sensitive Personal Information
Some information you provide may be considered sensitive under state privacy laws, including information concerning health, prescriptions, insurance coverage, government identifiers, or precise account credentials.
We use sensitive information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide insurance services you request;
- Compare available plans;
- Complete an application or enrollment;
- Service an existing policy;
- Prevent fraud or protect security; or
- Meet legal, carrier, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you for unrelated advertising.
Medicare po Polsku is an insurance agency and does not represent that all information it handles is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). When HIPAA or another health-information privacy law applies to particular information or activities, we handle the information in accordance with the applicable requirements.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services and meet legal, regulatory, carrier, contractual, accounting, and compliance requirements.
Retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it was collected. For example:
- Certain Medicare-related recordings, consent records, and marketing or enrollment records may be retained for ten years or another period required by CMS;
- Application, enrollment, policy, and servicing records may be retained while a policy remains active and for the period required afterward by law, regulators, carriers, or contractual obligations;
- Records relating to inquiries that do not result in an application may be retained for a reasonable period to respond to the inquiry, document consent, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations;
- Technical, security, and website records may be retained for fraud prevention, troubleshooting, analytics, and security purposes; and
- Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for litigation, an investigation, an audit, a legal hold, or enforcement of an agreement.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.
10. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these safeguards may include access restrictions, encryption during transmission, authentication controls, logging, staff training, vendor oversight, backups, and incident-response procedures.
No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use care when sending sensitive information electronically and should contact us before transmitting highly sensitive information through an ordinary email or website form.
If a security incident affects personal information, we will investigate and provide notices when required by applicable law.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

These rights are not absolute. We may deny or limit a request when an exception applies, including when information must be retained to comply with CMS requirements, insurance laws, carrier requirements, legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, or an existing insurance relationship.
To submit a privacy request, contact us using the information below. Please describe your request and identify the state in which you reside.
We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We will use information provided during verification only to confirm identity and process the request.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf when permitted by law. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Our website and insurance services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through our website, contact us so that we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
